INT. / ESTAB. IMRE PHILADELPHIA - DAY
We see a brightly-colored illustration of a whiteboard. It reads "INTERNS RULE! #IMRE." Perhaps it was commandeered.
The illustration fades to reality.
We see two interns, at separate desks, working at their computers: JORDAN, a co-op designer with a knack for intricate, imaginative illustrations and TED, a studio intern whose personality is almost as animated as his motion graphics.
Ted finishes a task, then slides across the aisle in his Office Chair for Grown-Ups™. He looks like he’s having a good time.
Ted pulls up next to Jordan. The interns turn to face each other while still facing the camera.
A lower third animates on screen. We see the interns’ names and positions.
TED
How’s it going, Jordan?
JORDAN
I’m good! I’ve been working on the intern project’s illustration today.

TED
Cool.
Ted looks to camera with a fourth-wall-breaking glance as the lower thirds animate off-screen. He looks back to Jordan.
JORDAN
I wasn't sure I could finish on time, but my managers helped me to prioritize my workload.
TED
What a wonderful feeling! Empathy is one of imre's core values, after all.
JORDAN
Heck yea! I'm confident I can finish it.

Jordan and Ted look at each other in enthusiastic realization. They then look back to the camera.
BOTH
Optimism is our other core value!!
Jordan opens his mouth to speak, but a mysterious, yet friendly, voice interrupts him.
AKANSHYA (O.S.)
Well, I'm optimistic that y'all are coming to this meeting!
Jordan and Ted look over their shoulders. They realize where the voice came from and stand up quickly.
Cut to the conference room TV. We hear Jordan and Ted’s meeting-bound footsteps. Akanshya, a design intern with a flair for creative typography and colorful branding, is on a TV-sized Zoom call. A lower third animates on screen with Akanshya’s name and position.
AKANSHYA (on TV)
Oh, hey y’all!
JORDAN
Thanks for waiting, Akanshya. How are you?
AKANSHYA (on TV)
I'm good! Been working on some exciting health and consumer projects today.
TED
Sounds like a twin-win if I've ever heard one. Nice!
AKANSHYA
Y'all wanna help me with one?
JORDAN AND TED
Sure!
Cut to BALTIMORE OFFICE INTERIOR. Akanshya is sitting at a desk in an open office space, using her computer. Her profile faces the camera. She lets out a slight chuckle while looking at the call on her computer screen.
AKANSHYA (excitedly)
Awesome! Get over here!
We pause for just a moment. The sound of the intern's footsteps travels down the hallway.
Jordan and Ted run into the shot. They’re out of breath.
TED (panting)
We ma- We made it!
Jordan wipes sweat from his brow.
AKANSHYA
Took you long enough! Just kidding, but do you know what else moves fast?
ALL (excitedly)
Advertising!
The interns gleam with excitement. Akanshya smiles and chuckles slightly.
AKANSHYA
Wanna walk and talk?
Jordan and Ted nod. The three interns stand up, and the camera follows them.
Credits roll.
They walk down a hallway together. The interns talk to each other and laugh––we can’t hear them over the background music. We see the three experience the unique joy of being an intern.
The frame freezes. Bright colors then seep in and reveal an illustration of this final frame. Fade to black.
